Soffits & Fascias – Key to any roofline system – it’s important to have access to high quality fascia and soffit products. Capping & replacement fascias.
Capping fascia or replacement fascia?
Capping fascia board is a thinner board fixed over an existing timber fascia that is still sound. It is quicker, cheaper and the usual choice on a house where the roofline has not failed, only aged. Replacement fascia board is a full-thickness board that takes the load once the old timber comes off, which is what you need if the timber is soft or the guttering has been pulling away. If the old board is holding the gutter brackets and it is solid, capping is enough.
