SPC Wall Panels

SPC wall panels with a contemporary edge

The Guardian Odyssey range is a step up from standard PVC wall panels. Built using Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) technology, these 5mm panels are harder, denser, and more resistant to impact than traditional PVC, making them a strong choice for both home and heavy commercial projects.

Available in two widths and five design options across concrete and Carrara finishes, the Odyssey range suits modern kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, hallways, and commercial interiors where both aesthetics and durability matter.

Recently bought and fitted the Guardian Wall Panels for my living room. Out of all the range of colours i opted for the ebony black colour and it looks amazing. So easy to install with a easy to understand installation guide on the packing which was really helpful.

Why choose SPC wall panels over standard PVC?

SPC panels use a rigid stone-polymer core that makes them significantly tougher. Where standard PVC panels are ideal for bathrooms and wet rooms, SPC panels go further, holding up in high-traffic areas and commercial environments without compromising on finish quality.

Your questions answered: Odyssey SPC Wall Panels

Find answers to the most common inquiries about our products and services to help you make informed decisions.

1. What does SPC stand for, and how is it different to PVC?

SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite. Standard PVC panels use a softer plastic core, while SPC panels use a rigid stone-polymer blend, making them harder, denser and more resistant to impact and scratching. That makes Odyssey panels a better fit for high-traffic areas and commercial settings.

2. Are Odyssey SPC panels fully waterproof?

Yes. The Odyssey panels are 100% waterproof and suitable for all wet areas including bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens and utility rooms.

3. What sizes and finishes are available in the Odyssey range?

The range comes in two widths, 600mm and 1m, both 2.4m long and 5mm thick. There are five designs: Polished Concrete, Grey Concrete, Grey Carrara, Charcoal Carrara and Bronze Carrara. All five are available in both widths, so you can mix panel sizes across a project.

4. How much do SPC wall panels cost?

Odyssey SPC panels are £95.00 to £99.00 per panel depending on width and finish, with current pricing shown on the product page. Against tiling the same area, the panel cost is usually offset by the labour saving, since there is no grouting stage.

5. Are SPC panels worth it over standard PVC?

It depends on the room. For a domestic bathroom or ceiling that will not take knocks, standard PVC panels do the job at a lower price. SPC is worth the step up where the wall takes regular impact: hallways, commercial kitchens, hotels, rental properties, gyms and busy family bathrooms. The rigid core resists scuffs and dents that would mark a softer PVC panel.

6. Can Odyssey panels be used in commercial settings?

Yes. Unlike standard decorative PVC panels, the Odyssey SPC range is rated for heavy commercial use thanks to its impact-resistant core.

7. Can I use Odyssey panels in a hallway or living area, not just wet rooms?

Yes. The range suits hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and other dry living spaces as well as wet areas. The tough surface makes it a practical choice anywhere that sees regular use.

8. How are SPC wall panels fitted and cleaned?

Panels are fitted using a compatible panel adhesive or mechanical fixing depending on the substrate, and no specialist tools are needed for most installations. We recommend checking the Guardian installation guidance first, particularly around substrate preparation. To clean, wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. There is no grout to clean and no sealant to reapply.

9. Can I order SPC panels from your trade counter?

Yes. You can order through the trade counter at 2 Blaydon Trade Park, Toll Bridge Road, Blaydon-on-Tyne, NE21 5TR, open Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm. We also deliver UK-wide within 5 to 7 days, and local delivery to NE, SR, DH, DL and TS postcodes is free on orders over £150.
